He was informed that under the project the IJ Principal Road from Pindora Chungi to GT Road would be re-carpeted along with lane marking and provision of missing facilities.

The drainage system on the both sides of the road would be upgraded in addition to the uplift of green areas along the road.

The meeting was further informed that tenders of the dualisation of service roads, East and West, of sector E-11 for providing an easy access to sector D-12 and second carriageway from the roundabout service road (west) of Sector G-10 to Khayaban-e-Iqbal has been opened while development work on both of the project would be awarded soon after the finalisation of formalities.

The meeting was further informed that construction of dualised service roads, East and West, of Sector E-11 will be completed with a cost of Rs240 million, while second carriageway from the roundabout service road (west) of Sector G-10 to Khayaban-e-Iqbal will cost Rs320 million.

The chairman was also briefed that all formalities and procedures for the construction of two underpasses on Faisal Avenue at F-8/F-7 and G-8/G-7 had been completed and in next few days tenders of both the projects will be floated in the national press so that the contract could be awarded.
